I also made this single page layout using Sarita and Babycakes papers, Sarita Stickease, Slate polka-dot Washi tape and blue sparkles.

October Workshop

HALLOWEEN

~  Friday, October 11  ~  7 pm  ~

In an earlier post I mentioned that I was saving some of the papers from the Sarita paper pack to use for a Halloween layout.  I used the goldrush cardstock (1 in the pack, 2 in the kit: I added second from my stash).  I used the Magic layout on page 50 - Spellbound, and the cricut for the embellishments.  My daughter loves it.

Products I used are:

September Workshop

Sarita

~  Saturday 21  ~  7pm  ~

This month we will make some of the layouts I made using the Sarita Paper pack.  Pick the one/s you would like to make and bring the necessary supplies.  See you then.
Sarita

I made three layouts from this paper packet and still have some left overs that I plan on using for a Halloween layout.  It didn't want the stamp set, but the extra cardstock in the kit (1 goldrush and 2 gypsy) may be handy for some.  I did have to add extra cardstock, mostly colonial white as bases.

Layout 1.  This layout requires no stamping, and was inspired by extra artwork found on Jeanette Lyntons blog (jeanettelynton.com) for the new idea book.  I added colonial white and gypsy cardstock.

Products I used are
X7171B      Sarita Paper pack      $9.95
X7171C      Sarita Stickease      $4.95
Z1873      Sarita Assortment      $5.95
Z1686      Cricut Art Philosophy      $99.00
9035      Make It from Your Heart Vol. 1 (#2)      $7.95

Layout 2.  This layout was inspired by the one on page 98 of the current Autumn/Winter Idea Book.  I used the lagoon cardstock as the base and had to add colonial white and gypsy cardstock.  Since the pictures of my daughter have pink in them I added some pink lace B&T from the Lucy Kit instead of the goldrush in the packet.

Products I used are:
X7171B      Sarita Paper pack      $9.95
D1555      All the Details stamp      $17.95
D1556      School Years stamp      $17.95
Z1790      Cricut Artiste      $99.00
Z1686      Cricut Art Philosophy      $99.00
9042      Make It from Your Heart Vol. 2 (#7)      $7.95
Z2195      Lagoon ink      $5.25
Z2140      Outdoor Denim ink      $5.25
Z2193      Cotton Candy ink      $5.25
Z1385      Design Ribbon, Blue collection      (retired)

Layout 3.  This layout was inspired by the one on page 99 of the current Idea Book.  I added colonial white for the base, a little of the pink lace B&T from other layout and some gyspy, sky and ponderosa pine cardstock, again to work with the pictures.  The layout is from MIFYH Vol.2 (#15).  And I just noticed the picture strip on the right page fell off...  opps.

Additional products used are:
Z2190      Gypsy ink      $5.25
Z2194      Sky ink      $5.25
Z2105      Black ink      $5.25

Surf's Up Workshop

~  Saturday 22nd  ~  7pm  ~

I really like the WOTG Surf's Up Kit.  The colours are fun, fresh and so summery.  I made three layouts from a day trip to Bolsa Chica State Beach last summer.  My girls had such a fun time and this paper pack has captured it perfectly.

I didn't make the featured layout as I had to many pictures.  Top layout is the kits additional artwork - Magic: Mesmerize.  Middle layout - Imagine: Conclusion Combo.  Bottom layout - Cherish: Golden Section.

BONUS PROJECT

The Bonus Project in this Kit are party favours.  The two on the right I switched stamp to Perfect Fit - Birthday, and the one on the left I used the April SOTM - Sunshine.  If you follow the sample in the Kit, it uses Glitter Paper, which I don't have, and you will need more sparkles to make all 20 favours.

Additional products are:
Z1827      My Creations Paper Pouch - Small (20)     $2.95
Z1830      Brown & Tan Glitter Paper      $5.95

And I made a little 2.5 x 3.5 card (Originals:  Bow Front), using leftovers from Kit and added four copper brads.

When you spend $35* in May, this yummy Paper Packet can be yours for only $10*.  Additionally, if you purchase $5 in accessories, you will also qualify for the May SOTM -Pinwheel, for $5.   You still have a couple of days to get yours.

Here is what I have created so far

May SOTM - Pinwheel

Hello

Finally I have made it back to my blog.  Now that school is out and my youngest has recovered from her emergency appendicitis surgery (wow, what a week) I can get back to my scrapbooking, creating and to keeping my blog updated.    Some of the following posts I should have posted a few weeks ago, but I will share anyway cause its all about sharing ideas, right!

This is a layout I started in April but was waiting for some accessories to finish.  It's my take on the layout on the back cover of CTMH's current Idea Book and Catalog.

April Workshop

Chantilly Cardmaking Kit

~  Saturday 20  ~  7pm  ~

The WOTG Chantilly Cardmaking Kit is bright and cheery and so fun to make.  There are all the supplies you need to make 15 cards, five each of three cards.  G1061, $29.95*.

These are the three cards as shown in the kit, except for the Sunset ink, which I didn't care for so I switched it to Cotton Candy ink

I changed it up a bit for the rest
For these three, I flipped the B&T over to the floral and added some Buttercup cardstock to the top card, and added Lagoon cardstock to border floral B&T on left card
Here I switched the ink colours from the originals to create a different look
For these three I rotated the design which was fun to play with
And for the last three, I used the Perfect Fit - Birthday stamp set (B1417, $9.95*)

The options for this fun and versitile card kit really are limitless

Join us to make your own set of fun cards.  Orders and prepayment are required by 10pm, April 9.

Chantilly

The new "Chantilly Workshop Kit" and the new "Easter Wishes" stamp set are the two products I have from the new CTMH Catalog (which goes live tomorrow) so far, and I have had a lot of fun playing with it.  I really like the Chantilly papers and accessories (stamp, pink glitter gems, fabric buttons) that came in the kit.

Here is what I have made the past couple of weeks.  I have used only CTMH products.

I made these little Easter candy holders with some of the leftovers from the Whooo's your Valentine kit.  I also used the Chantilly kit, Easter Wishes stamp set, 2" Scallop Circle Punch, some Bitty Opaques Pearl Adhesive Gems, a large Twilight Brad, and I added a little White Daisy cardstock.

For this card I used Pattern #24 (Make it from Your Heart, Vol 1), page 44.  It was fun to make and I love the colours (Pear, Twilight, Cotton Candy, Cocoa).  I added the card base and used the Just For You stamp set, Card Word Puzzle stamp set for the Happy Birthday, a little white daisy grosgrain, Art Philosophy (Cricut), and of course the Chantilly kit.

The idea of this layout came form the Surf's Up Studio J layout, page 51.  I used Reflections Title Topper - Subtle, page 14 and Side Bar - Main Frame, page 41, the Chantilly kit, Artiste (Cricut), and added some White Daisy cardstock and White Daisy Brads.

So far I have made 2 two page layouts, a card and 3 treat boxes out of this kit and I still have product left over.  That's a pretty good deal, don't you think.

This month I used the new Chantilly Workshop kit.  These colours remind me of spring and the happy, sunny days that will soon be with us.  Although this layout looks more girly, there are 2 Twilight cardstock included and the other side of this flowery paper is a pattern in Pear, so it will be nice for some boy layouts also.  I used the workshop kit, G1053, which retails for $29.95.

Products Used:
*X7163b      Chantilly Paper Pack      $9.95
*Z1814      Chantilly Assortment      $5.95
*Z1807      Pink Glitter Gems      $3.95

Whooo's Your Valentine Kit

National Paper Crafting Month is coming to an end, which means CTMH's 'Whooo's Your Valentine' kit will not be available for much longer.  You have till the end of the month to get one.

I have seen a lot of CTMH's talented consultants use this kit for layouts and cards, both for Valentine's Day and for other projects.  I decided to make a layout using the leftovers of my kit after I made three treat tubes for my kids teachers.  I added some ruby and chocolate cardstock, and some mocha opaques.

Products I Used are:
Imagine - Up the Tempo - page 65
Whooo's Your Valentine - Constant Campaign Kit
(inc: blush, hollyhock, white daisy & glitter cardstock, stamp)
z1790      Cricut Artiste Collection      $99
x5927      Ruby cardstock     $14.50
x5643      Chocolate cardstock      $14.50
z2163      White Daisy ink      $6.95
z2170      Ruby ink      $5.25
z2128      Hollyhock ink     $5.25
z2106      Blush ink      $5.25
z1333      Opaques Adhesive Gems - Mocha      $2.95
z1392      2" Scallop circle punch      $14.95
*tax/shipping not included in price

We are not big on Valentine's Day in our house, I think it's the not growing up in America thing.  It wasn't a big deal when I was growing up like it is here.  My kids enjoy handing out cards to their class, some years we have made treats.  This year we haven't given much thought yet, but I did make some treat tubes for the teachers.  Everything is from the 'Whooo's Your Valentine' kit except for some white daisy grosgrain ribbon.

Happy New Year

Here's to a fantastic 2013.  I am looking forward to this brand new year and hope you are also.  This year my goal  is to be more active with my blog, try a few challenges like 'Mojo Monday' and just be more creative with my papercrafting.  I also have several albums to get finished - but that's a work in progress!

Before Christmas I made these cute little snowmen (inspired by a couple of fantastic CTMH consultants of course).  They were simple and fun to make.  They made great teacher/staff gifts.
